James Rosamilia, is our cello ensemble director and media specialist. He is a 2017 and 2018 graduate of Yale School of Music where he earned his Masters and Masters of Musical Arts degrees studying with Aldo Parisot. He did his undergraduate work at Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge Massachusetts where he was awarded the school’s prestigious Presidential Scholarship. James has attended, taught, and performed in music festivals in both the United States and Canada including seven years experience as counselor and chamber coach at Stringwood chamber music festival and is currently director of chamber ensembles at the International Cello Institute. James was awarded first prize in the college string divisions of the 2013 Thursday Musical and 2014 Schubert Club competitions. His teachers have included Joanne Tierney, Daniel McIntosh, Robert Jamieson, Arek Tesarczyk, Mihail Jojatu and Aldo Parisot.
