The International Cello Institute Fellowship Program, invites two fellows to join its community of teachers and performers. The program offers the resources of the internationally-renowned faculty and pianists for an intensive exploration of solo and chamber repertoire for the cello. Fellows will teach and perform alongside faculty and students in the programs’s on-site concert series and work with students and faculty in varied settings. Fellows are defined by their advanced artistry, command of their instrument, and teaching experience. A summer at ICI surrounds our fellows with similarly advanced students while offering opportunities and resources to realize their passions and prepare for meaningful careers in the arts.
These fellowships are normally for a one-year term, however fellows may apply again for a second year if they have only attended one year. Fellows will apply every year and need to be graduate or doctoral students interested in performing, teaching, coaching and helping students with practice sessions.
Each fellow will receive a $500 stipend along with room and board, full access to all of the teachers, masterclasses and concerts. Upon acceptance you will need to commit to all three weeks of ICI and submit to a background check.
