Community Outreach Events
We make it a point to connect with Minnesota communities and walk our students through the process of taking their craft beyond a music hall.
“CelloCentric Outreach Concerts” is a project ICI developed in 2023, where students visit and perform at Public Libraries, Hospitals, Retirement Homes, etc. Participants are coached and receive mentorship sessions on how to present in public and engage with audiences.
Outreach Concert at the Northfield Public Library during ICI 2023. Students performed works by Elgar, Bach, and Fauré. ICI participants talked about each of the pieces and their experiences of working together in preparation for these events.
Outreach Concert at Viking Terrace during ICI 2023. Students performed works by Bach and Apocalyptica. ICI participants introduced their pieces, and some presented their performances in both English and Spanish.
