A Snapshot into ICI

Individual lessons will be scheduled throughout the three weeks of the program. All accepted participants will receive at 4 to 6 lessons during their three weeks at ICI depending upon the concentration that they choose.

Each student will have multiple performance opportunities during the 3 weeks. Masterclasses, Recitals, Chamber Music and Community Outreach Concerts.

Workshops will be offered to cellists on technique, score reading, etude study, the art of practicing, and efficient management of time. All workshop facilitators will encourage student participation and involvement.

Guest artists and speakers, along with core faculty, will deliver presentations on a range of topics.

It is important to us that our students develop tools to connect with community members. In the planning of community outreach events, we guide students through public speaking techniques and how to address audiences.

Every ICI student will be assigned to a small and a big chamber music group. You will receiv coachings with our faculty and have the opportunity to perform in ICI’s Chamber Music Recital.

Students’ rehearsals with ICI’s Collaborative Pianists could be considered lessons! Get specialized attention and get to know the score with our piano faculty.

Informal and interactive gatherings between faculty, staff and students about being an artist, teacher, performer in the current environment.
