CelloICI 2025 Recital Series
About the Recitals
The CelloICI Recital Series is an in-person recital series held every summer in concurrence with our summer program for young cellists. We feel it is of vital importance that our students have opportunities to listen to great artists play live while they are learning. On the day of the concert we transport our students up from Northfield where they are studying at ICI to hear these wonderful concerts!
This summer we feel it is so fitting for Anthony Ross and Timothy Lovelace to open our series at Sundin Hall on July 16th. They both have been with us from the early days of ICI and are prominent musicians in our community.
We are thrilled to be able to present the Colorado Cello Quartet for the second recital on July 23. This will be the first time we have had an ensemble play on one of our recitals. Based in Denver and Boulder these four cellists have come together as colleagues to form this quartet. Each of them are excellent cellists and renown professors at the University of Colorado, Boulder School of Music and the University of Denver Lamont School of Music.
On July 30th Brannon Cho will once again join us. Those of you who heard his performance on our series in 2018 will remember this amazing young artist. Brannon’s career is in full swing and we are proud to be able to present him once again at the International Cello Institute in 2025. Pianist, Victor Santiago Asuncion will be collaborating with him on this concert and he is a frequent guest at our CelloICI Recitals.
